J Chipolina’s goal gives Lincoln hope in narrow defeat
A resolute Lincoln traveled to Estonia to compete in their opening Champions League preliminary tie of the season, their 5th in Gibraltar’s short UEFA history. Despite falling a goal down midway through the first half, Lincoln were part of a competitive game. The hosts doubled their lead short after the break but a Joseph Chipolina goal just after the hour mark gave Lincoln their vital away goal which they take back to Gibraltar for the 2nd leg in a weeks time. This gives the Gibraltarian champions something to build upon as they chase their objective of reaching the next round where a glamour tie against Scottish champions Celtic awaits the winners.
