The Premier Division was back this past week with 5 games spread across the midweek until Saturday. There were contrasting results for the division’s new boys. Europa Point began the season well, taking the lead against Glacis but their joy only lasted a matter of moments, as Glacis equalised immediately and then went on to win 3-1. It was a different story for Mons Calpe though, as they too opened the scoring early doors but were able to maintain their advantage and add to it in stoppage time to secure a 2-0 win over St Josephs. On Saturday, Europa scraped past Lions Gibraltar, winning 2-1 thanks to a later winner from former Lion Sykes Garro. Lincoln put the defeat against Europa in the Pepe Reyes Cup firmly behind them by hitting Lynx for 5 in Saturday’s evening kick off.
